Orange Ultraflight Centre (OUC) is a flight training facility operating at Orange, in the Central Tablelands Region of NSW, Australia. We’re a small but expanding school offering flight training under the banner of Recreational Aviation Australia. Whether you’re starting from scratch or converting your General Aviation qualifications, flying for fun or heading for a career, OUC can help you achieve your goal.
InstructorsWe run a pretty lean business structure to keep overheads down and training costs as affordable as we can make them – so at this stage, there’s only three of us!

The principal of OUC is Ken Pidcock – Chief Flying Instructor for the past five years. Ken started flying in Orange about 20 years ago in a Piper Warrior – the same one that’s still used by Orange Aviation today! He joined OUC as an instructor six years ago. Ken also carries out the maintenance on the training aircraft. |
Interested in aviation from the tender age of 6, Bryan joined Orange Aero Club at the age of 14 and has been a devoted member ever since. He learnt to fly here at OUC and first flew solo two weeks after his 15th birthday. Since then he has flown close to 500 hours and has been instructing for over a year. | ![]() |
Throughout Australia, the future of aviation is undeniably linked to Recreational Aviation. And it's no wonder - with aircraft which are cheaper to buy and operate, and the option to readily convert to General Aviation aircraft for those who choose to do so.
